| Licenses for the caatoosee iq-server are not issued with expiry dates and do not require renewal. As part of the maintenance contract, regular updates and upgrades are supplied free of charge. The number of licenses required depends on the number of processors of the hardware system on which a caatoosee iq-server is installed. A choice of three different licensing options is provided ensuring the right solution is found for every company. |

- Source Access Licenses (SAL) allow additional data sources to be licensed separately.

- Continual upgrades of processor capacity are possible with the CPU licensing option. No extra costs apply when systems are upgraded.
- With SAL* and E-SAL** options, surcharges only apply if the system is expanded to include new sources.

* SAL - Source Access License
Every CPU from a physical data source requires a Source Access License (SAL). For example: 2 Oracle databases with 4 processors each and 1 file system with 2 processors will require 10 SALs.
** E-SAL - External Source Access License
External Source Access Licenses (E-SAL) are required for all external data sources. This entitles the licensee to connect (remote) host systems via the Internet. Each domain must have its own E-SAL. The number of host CPUs in this instance is irrelevant.
