caatoosee buoyed by CeBIT success

Sales targets exceeded by 25 percent with acquisition of over 1,000 qualified contacts/CEO Guido Alt: CeBIT success endorses new direction taken by restructured

Leonberg/Hanover, 21st March, 2002 caatoosees sales team returned from CeBIT with no less than 1,020 qualified contacts under its belt. After the feeble trickle of visitors on the first day of the trade fair, the information logistics providers team initially had little hope of meeting its goal of obtaining 800 contacts. Thankfully, visitor interest rose with each day of the fair, the most successful being Tuesday (19th March), when over 200 qualified contacts were acquired.

Visitors interested in the new iq-server technology for enterprise-wide information qualification (iq) were evenly distributed across all key sectors of industry. The newly unveiled iq-net-search search engine with its high level of error tolerance was particularly attractive to small and medium-sized enterprises. A number of caatoosee customers indicated that they were keen to extend their existing information logistics solutions. A further plus: many larger technology enterprises discussed integrating caatoosee technology in their solutions.

For Guido Alt, CEO of , the CeBIT success is a ringing endorsement of the new direction the company has taken with its restructuring programme, which shifted the focus to its core technology. Says Alt: Over the past nine months, we have implemented a restructuring programme that has, at times, been quite painful. We have completely reorganised the company, and have had to lose around 100 of our employees in the process. But with just three members, our Management Board now works more efficiently than before. has taken an enormous leap forward that was made clear at CeBIT. I am confident that our success at CeBIT will start to impact business development as early as the second quarter.
