caatoosee invests in Tectum - the IT consultants |

Through its 100% Swiss subsidiary EDIFACT AG, has now acquired a significant holding in Tectum Beratungsgesellschaft für Informationsverarbeitung mbH (the Tectum consulting company for information processing) based in Leinfelden-Echterdingen. The 41.53% holding is backdated to 1 October and enables EDIFACT AG to take corporate control of Tectum GmbH.

The fact that has acquired a stake in Tectum GmbH through EDIFACT AG reinforces the efforts of and EDIFACT AG to integrate on-line network platforms into the current ERP and legacy systems of various companies and its core competency as a complete provider of information logistics solutions. Tectum GmbH will sell, distribute and implement integration products of the Swiss ERP specialist on the German market in close cooperation with EDIFACT AG.
Tectum GmbH was set up in 1980 and has acquired extensive know-how and experience in technological consulting as well as in business applications. With its 60 members of staff and a turnover of DEM 14.2m the company made an EBIT profit of DEM 0.5m in 1999. Tectum's clientbase includes Philips, Epson, Hitachi, Motorola, Siemens and Bosch. |

The caatoosee subsidiary EDIFACT AG is one of the international leaders in the development of software solutions for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). With a staff of over 20 in Dübendorf/Zürich and Sugiez-Murten/Bern the company handles over 60% of the top 100 companies in Switzerland, supplementing caatoosee's software products and services with products which enable automated data exchange between goods economy systems and financial service providers such as banks or PayNet. This is particularly important to e-commerce businesses. |

Martin Seith, Tectum's CEO, will continue to run, expand and integrate the company into the growing network of the caatoosee Group of companies. "caatoosee's involvement offers Tectum enormous opportunities for growth. Above all it opens up the market for online platforms," Seith says.
