Integrated net-business solutions for the net economy

caatoosee GmbH, based in Stuttgart, is one of the leading providers of platform-independent information and transaction systems for electronic business. Working for major clients, such as DaimlerChrysler AG or Deutsche Bank AG, this European group has provided customized net-business solutions during the past four years. The objective is to create links between companies, people and markets over the internet, intranets and extranets.

This is derived from a product philosophy directed specifically at the differing requirements of the rapidly expanding dynamic "Profile Care Management" market. "Net business solutions delivered by caatoose AG anticipate future trends in e-commerce", states Guido Alt, the founder and chief executive of . He further adds that "We provide our customers with intelligent and tested solution strategies. These enable them to react to the changing market and communications conditions, so that they can take efficient advantage of the potential of e-business.

Profile Care Management is based on intelligent software solutions, by means of which users without software knowledge can rapidly establish individual access to "their" electronic market or network on the internet, intranet and extranet. This means that users can access those networks, which collect or publish information these users may be interested in. The special feature of the system offered is the linkage of system and content competency with Profile Care Management solutions. caatoosee supplies not only the network platforms and the required software modules but also the contents needed by the users of these platforms.

Active integration of online communities and workflow processes, in the B2B and B2C areas are of key importance for the net-business solutions of the caatoosee concept. All subscribers are linked both as information sources and as interaction partners, in accordance with their particular interests. "It is our consistency in this work, which really makes us unique", says Guido Alt.

The new online generation - caatoosee was established out of the Media Group. In 1996 Guido Alt set up the Media Group agency for New Media GmbH in Stuttgart, employing a staff of four. Since April 2000, the name of the firm has been caatoosee GmbH, offering a full range of services, with branches in Berlin, Frankfurt, London, Prague, Washington DC and Zagreb. The group has further locations in Duebendorf (Switzerland), Hildesheim and Sugiez-Murten (Switzerland). caatoosee currently employs 240 people grouped in international teams. Before the end of this year, further branches are to be opened in Paris, Singapore, Temeswar and Cluz (both in Romania).

Lothar Spaeth, Chairman of Jenoptik AG, will take over as chairman of the board. He will provide active support to the board of the future in its growth strategy. Thus the former President of Baden-Württemberg has become closely involved with a company which is achieving a leading position amongst European net-business organizations.

Successful online projects for various branches
The success of the Profile Care Strategy is illustrated by a large number of online projects implemented by caatoosee for clients engaged in operations worldwide. In the DaimlerChrysler AG intranet for example, caatoosee drew up a quality management solution, which has successfully linked the quality managers in a network. A pharmacists' network was set up on the Internet for the GEHE organization (www.apotheke.com). Every German pharmacy can reach this network by means of easy-to-use caatoosee software. Moreover, the network can be called up on the World Wide Web (www.apotheke.com). Other clients include DEKRA AG, Deutsche Bank AG, Deutscher Sparkassen Vorlag GmbH, CWZ Baden Württemberg, KarstadtQuelle Bank AG, Landesverband der Baden-Württembergischen Industrie e.V., Motor-Presse Stuttgart, Tesion Telekommunikation, Tourismus Marketing GmbH Baden Württemberg, as well as TRUMPF GmbH & Co. KG.

The name "caatoosee" is just as unusual as the company's business strategy. "caatoosee" was the name of an American Indian chief, who managed to unite various tribes. The name means "He who arose from the water". Today caatoosee is the new name of a fast-growing company with many years' experience in its specialist areas of networking, software development and content management. Guido Alt describes the philosophy as follows: "It is the network subscribers, who determine the success of our services.
